Richard Smith (otherwise Richard Davis) found guilty on an indictment for the highway robbery of Henry Marsh in the parish of Putney on 18th July 1766: robbing him of a watch (valued at 40/-), 2 gold guineas and 6/- in money numbered. The Public Advertiser of 12th  reports the execution on the 9th: whereas the Kentish Post of the 13th to 16 reports it as taking place on the 11th.
